$$ Time = \frac{File Size}{Internet Speed} $$

Important Unit Conversions

Internet speeds are usually measured in bits per second (bps), while file sizes are measured in Bytes (B).

• 1 Byte = 8 bits
• 1 Megabyte (MB) = 8 Megabits (Mb)

Example: To download a 100 MB file at 10 Mbps:

1. Convert File Size to bits: $100 \times 8 = 800$ Megabits.
2. Divide by Speed: $800 / 10 = 80$ seconds.
