2. Bandwidth: Mbps vs MBps

Internet speed is measured in Megabits per second (Mbps), while file downloads are usually measured in Megabytes per second (MBps). Since there are 8 bits in a byte, a 100 Mbps connection translates to a maximum download speed of 12.5 MBps.
